Driver

Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond

Rahm was playing the Callaway Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS model but he has now switched into the newer Callaway Paradym range and he uses the Triple Diamond design. This model is the lowest spinning of the three Paradym heads and his driver is setup for high launch and low spin. 

He uses it with an Aldila Tour Green which is around 45 inches and has been part of his setup for a while now. “It definitely makes things easier when we’re doing a driver fitting with Jon,” said Jacob Davidson, Callaway’s PGA Tour Manager told Golf.com. “Your first goal is to eliminate variables. If you have too many variables, it can make things difficult to figure out. For Rahm, he’s not changing that [Aldila] shaft. He knows that shaft and has played great with that shaft. He’s made that clear that he doesn’t want to change.”

Fairways

Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond

Rahm then uses two Paradym Triple Diamond T fairway woods. The three-wood, which has around 15.2 degrees of loft and is actually a HL model which stands for high launch. His five-wood has around 17.9 degrees of loft and is just the regular T version. 

The TD has a deeper face than its family members, perfectly suited for the golfer who is looking to reduce spin and hit a lower and more penetrating ball flight. Additionally the head of the Paradym TD is noticeably more compact and features no alignment aids on the crown which presents a clean, stripped-back look, one we really enjoyed.

Shaft wise he uses two different models. His three-wood has the same Aldila Tour Green shaft as his driver, albeit it is the 85TX specification with 43.25 inches of length. Then his five-wood is a black Graphite Design Tour AD-DI shaft with 42 inches.

Irons

Callaway Apex TCB

In the irons Rahm occasionally uses a Callaway Apex UT with 21 degrees of loft, which is equivalent to a 3 iron. Then from 4 iron down to pitching wedge he uses a set of Callaway Apex TCBs. When we tested the TCB's we thought they ticked every box a lower handicapper is looking for. The tour-inspired shaping is immediately obvious, with the thin topline and narrow sole along with a premium satin finish. The hitting experience doesn’t disappoint either. The feel is crisp and solid off the face, a gentle thud sound contributing to a soft feel.

Wedges

Callaway Jaws Forged 

Then in the wedges he moved away from the TaylorMade Milled Grind 2 and Hi-Toe models, to a configuration of Callaway Jaws Forged wedges. They have 52, 56, and 60 degrees of loft and are rather difficult to get hold of. According to Callaway Rahm said he grabbed the 60 degree model and put it in the bag immediately whilst he also quickly put the 56 degree option in the bag as well. 

We believe Rahm actually has a bit of leading edge relief on all his wedges because removing material from the sole stops the edge from digging. Basically this means Rahm won't chunk any shots from tight lies around the green.

Putter

Odyssey White Hot OG Rossie S

Rahm is one of the best putters in the world and his flat stick changed from an Odyssey 2-Ball Ten mallet with a red Stroke Lab shaft, to an Odyssey White Hot OG Rossie S in 2021. It was this Rossie that helped him win the 2021 US Open, holing two huge putts on his final two holes. According to an article on PGA Tour.com Rahm was testing putters in California a week prior to the Memorial Tournament. Whilst there Rahm was most intrigued by an Odyssey Rossie S mid-mallet putter. It was then built with a Microhinge Star insert that he had been putting well with before that. 

Ball

Callaway Chrome Soft X

He then uses a Callaway Chrome Soft X golf ball. Speaking to Callaway about why he opted for the X, Rahm said; "it's a golf ball that's long off the tee and stays very straight with the misses, dispersion is not very wide. It also launches a little bit lower with a little bit more spin which helps me control ball flight and trajectory."

Apparel/Shoes

TravisMathew/Cuater

Rahm has also switched his apparel and shoes too for 2021. He had been using adidas but now wears TravisMathew apparel and Cuater 'The Ringer' shoes, both owned by Callaway. He switched into the Ringer shoes in 2022 and Rahm is clearly a big fan. He told Golf Digest; “I think a game changer is the shoes I’m using this year, they’re different from last year. They’re a lot more comfortable. I’ve done some great work with Cuater and the Travis Mathew team, and I think it’s allowed me to be a little bit more stable and up my ball speed and my swing speed without being concerned.”
